Best Oahu Family Resorts

Updated: Apr 1

The Gypsea Traveller is a Hawaiian Travel Agency. The Owner, Libbi, is a travel agent that lives in Hawaii to give you firsthand information on the best Oahu family resorts!

Check out the top five best Oahu family resorts below which Libbi has been to and/or stayed at herself.

Staying on Oahu and choosing the Best Oahu Family Resorts can be overwhelming. Below are my top Best Oahu Family Resorts.

1. Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger

It's across the street from the beach so will be less expensive than the resorts on the beach. It was renovated in 2020 so it's super cute and clean. It's centrally located in Waikiki so you can easily walk to restaurants. Many excursions will pick you up in Waikiki so you might be able to opt for not having a car. ($$)

2. Sheraton Waikiki

It's on the ocean and has a family pool and an adult only infinity pool. While it doesn't have a beach right in front of it, you can easily walk left or right to the beaches, rent chairs and enjoy the beach. I love their adult only infinity pool where you can often see Sea Turtles. Families love the family pool with the waterslide too. My favorite rooms are actually the partial ocean-view rooms where if you luck out, you'll have amazing views of Diamond Head! ($$$)

3. The Kahala

The Kahala is about 15 minutes outside of Waikiki. It's great if you still want to be close to lots of shops and restaurants but want to have that secluded feeling. The beach is great there and there's no resort fee! It's a perfect resort for couples and honeymooners. Beach chairs are included unlike in Waikiki where you need to pay additional for beach chairs. ($$$$) When you book this resort with me, daily breakfast and $100 credit can be included.

4. Turtle Bay Resort

Turtle Bay is located on the North Shore and is about an hour away from Waikiki and the airport. The resort has a great beach, restaurants on site and a great adult only infinity pool. They also have bungalows you can stay in for more privacy. This resort is often great if you want to be on Oahu but be more secluded. ($$$$) When you book this resort with me, daily breakfast and $100 credit can be included.

5. Marriott Ko Olina or Four Seasons Ko Olina

If you want 1-2 bedroom condos in Ko Olina or a high end/luxury resort, you'll love the Marriott and Four Seasons. The Marriott is great for anyone wanting a condo with a full kitchen and a family friendly property. The Four Seasons is a gorgeous property that is great for couples, honeymooners but also families. The Four Seasons has one of THE BEST kids club for kids! They also have an adult only infinity pool. ($$$$ and $$$$$). Watch my YouTube video on the Four Seasons Ko Olina here.
