Maui Recommendations

Updated: Dec 2, 2022

The Gypsea Traveller is a Hawaii Travel Agency. The Owner, Libbi is a travel agent that lives in Hawaii. she has visited all of the Hawaiian Islands and lives on Oahu. This blog has a ton of recommendations based on first hand experience living in Hawaii.

Maui is a great mix of Oahu and Kauai. It can be relaxing, while also having shops, dining and nightlife available without the 1 million people on Oahu. Visitors enjoy snorkeling Molokini Crater or Lanai and seeing dolphins and whales. Maui is also known for the Road to Hana which is a windy road on the coast of Maui. Visitors also go to Maui to watch the sunrise on top of Haleakala. If you want to visit Hawaii during whale season, Maui is one of the best Hawaiian Islands to whale watch on! Visitors can also take a ferry over to Lanai and Molokai from Maui for an easy day trip.

I highly recommend booking your excursions as soon as you book your vacation. Excursions are booking up months in advance. I can help recommend the best ones and make sure you book them ahead of time.

Recommended Luau's

Old Lahaina Luau The Old Lahaina Luau is one of the more popular luaus on Maui. The luau is oceanfront and outdoors. Every guest at the luau gets a fresh flower lei when they arrive. The menu is different as it includes a 5 course meal.

The Feast at Mokapu This luau is great for anyone staying at the Andaz. You can go to the luau right at the resort without having to drive anywhere after a few Mai Tais.

Drums of the Pacific This luau is great for anyone staying at the Hyatt Regency Maui. You can go to the luau right at the resort.
